The benefits of ab machines are…

They add variety. Using ab equipment can challenge your muscles differently than what they may be used to. That’s a plus.

They can add some fun to your ab routine. All routines can become stale after you do them for awhile. Using some new equipment can take the boredom away from doing those same ab exercises you’re used to.

Ab exercise machines isolate your abs. Ab machines are usually made to target just your abs. If you have low body fat and you really want to sculpt and define your ab muscles, isolation is a good thing.

The downside of ab machines is that they can’t strip the fat off your stomach. You can develop ab muscles by using machines and equipment, but you won’t spot reduce fat away from your stomach. Spot reduction is impossible without surgery.

Also, overuse of ab machines can lead to muscular imbalances, and that’s dangerous! You see, your ab muscles and lower back muscles work together when you move or lift things.

Ab machines work your ab muscles. If your abs become significantly stronger than your lower back muscles, this imbalance can lead you straight down a path to injury my friend.

Now you should have a clear idea on whether you should buy an ab exercise machine or not!
